Little, Bowden lead Rockies to season-ending, 10-8, win
over Brewers

Bill Little hit a two-run double and Brandon Bowden followed with a two-run home, and the Rockies survived a late Brewers' comeback attempt to win the final game of the fall season, 10-8, Sunday at Creekside Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Leading 4-1, going into the bottom of the second inning, Rob Brown and Allen drew one-out walks. Bill Little followed with a two-run double for a 6-1 lead. Brandon Bowden then hit a towering two-run homer to give the Rockies an 8-1 lead. 

Game MVPs: Bill Little went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Brandon Bowden went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored. Rob Brown went 1-for-1 with three runs scored. Tyrone Parnell went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Noble Effort: Kevin Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Duane Johnson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Andrew D'Elia went 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Gage Hard went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Miscellaneous Notes: The Rockies finish the season 4-6. The Brewers finish 4-5-1.

Layman's hit sends game to extra innings, eventual tie

Jordan Layman's RBI-single tied the score and pushed the Brewers into extra innings against the Marlins Sunday at Creekside Park. The two teams failed to score in the eighth inning, and the game ended in a 4-4 tie as time expired.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the tie: Both teams had more opportunities to score. Both team left 12 men on base for the game -- hey, that's another tie. 

Brewers pitching: Will Flynn gave up two earned runs over four innings. He struck out nine and walked three. Andew Johnson pitched four innings and gave up one earned run. He struck out three and walked four.

Marlins pitcher: Matt Williams pitched 6 2/3 innings, giving up nine hits and four runs. He struck out four and walked four. Kaiden Morales gave up one hit and one walk in 1 1/3 innings.

Brewers MVPs: Jonathan Santiago went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Jordan Layman went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Victor Medina went 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Marlins MVPs: Stephen Sawyer went 2-for-4. Xavier Vergerano went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Hayden Winchell went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Miscellaneous Notes: The Marlins are now to 3-4-1. The Brewers are now 4-4-1.

Pierre, Bowden, Brown lead Rockies to 9-3 win over Mets

Gabe Pierre and Brandon Bowden each had RBI-singles in a four-run fifth inning to lead the Rockies to a 9-3 win over the Mets Sunday at Creekside Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: The Rockies packaged eight hits with eight Mets errors to score their runs. Rob Brown, despite walking 11 batters, tossed a no-hitter to keep the Mets' offense in check.

Game MVPs: Rob Brown pitched seven innings, giving up no hits, and two earned runs. He stuck out six and walked 11. Brandon Bowden went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and one RBI. Gave Pierre went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Allen Barnett went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.

Noble Effort: Malik Dixon gave up four hits and two earned runs over four innings. He struck out six and walked two. Yeah, well, not much else to say.

Hart's 3-run triple leads Marlins to 10-6 win over Rockies

Gage Hart's three-run triple helped the Marlins score five runs in the fifth inning and beat the Rockies 10-6 Sunday at Creekside Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: The Marlins took a 5-0 first inning lead by taking advantage of six Rockies walks. After the Rockies slowly came back, The Marlins used three hits, a walk and a hit by pitch to score five runs in the fifth inning.

Losing pitcher: Rob Brown

Game MVPs: Sergio Forte went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI. Gage Hart went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and a run scored. Xavier Vergerano went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Mets score 4 in seventh for walk-off win over Brewers

Sergio Forte's two-out, pop-up found a hole behind third base, scoring Jacob Witham from third with the winning run as the Mets topped the Brewers, 9-8, Sunday at Creekside Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: With the game tied, 5-5, going into the seventh inning, the Brewers scored three runs to take an 8-5 lead. But the Mets batted around the order by taking advantage of three walks, a hit by pitch, an error, and just two hits to score four runs for the win.

Bowden's two-run single leads Rockies to come-from-behind, 9-7 win over Mets

Brandon Bowden's two-run single highlighted a seven run sixth inning to land a 9-7 comeback win for the Rockies over the Mets Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: In a rain-soaked game, the Rockies entered the sixth inning trailing 5-2, and scored seven runs to take the lead.

Little's 3-run homer drives Rockies to 7-3 win over Marlins

Bill Little hit a three-run homer in the top of the third inning to give the Rockies a 4-2 lead, and he gave up one earned run over seven innings to give the Rockies their first win of the fall season Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Trailing 2-0 in the top of the third inning, Shawn Ryan singled and scored on Tyrone Parnell's ground out to make it 2-1. Gabe Pierre was hit by a pitch and Tiquan Thompson followed with a walk. Bill Little then hit a three-run home run to give the Rockies a 4-2 lead.

Game MVPs: Bill Little went 2-for-4 with five RBIs and a run scored. He also pitched seven innings, giving up five hits, one earned run and four walks, while striking out six. Ordonez's slam gives Mets 8-6, comeback win over Brewers

Rides Ordonez hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh inning to lift the Mets to an 8-6, comeback, win over the Brewers Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Dan Ventry, Jacob Witham and Ernest Bryant each walked to start the top of the seventh inning. Rides Ordonez, who hit a solo home run in the top of the third inning, hit a line drive into the left field net for a grand slam to give the Mets an 8-6 lead. 

Winning pitcher: Alex Calabrese

Losing pitcher: Andew D'Elia

Game MVPs: Rides Ordonez went 2-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored. Yoenny Hurtado went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in the sixth inning. Heath Henson went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Dan Ventry went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Hernandez drives in three; Brewers beat Rockies, 11-5

Kevin Hernandez went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead the Brewers to an 11-5 win over the Rockies Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Kevin Hernandez' two-run single in the third inning gave the Brewers a 3-1 lead, and they never trailed the rest of the way.

Game MVPs: Kevin Hernandez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored. Sabel del Rosario went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Andrew Johnson and Ethan Beaver each went 1-for-2.

Mets shut out Rockies, 13-0

Two Mets' pitchers combined to throw a four-hit shutout, and Rides Ordonez drove in four runs and scored three as the Mets crushed the Rockies, 13-0, Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Alex Calabrese and Jacob Witham each pitched three innings and held the Rockies scoreless over six innings before the teams reached the time limit.

Game MVPs: Malik Dixon went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Rides Ordonez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, four RBIs and three runs scored. Dylan Trent went 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Brewers score three in bottom of seventh for walk-off win over Marlins

Jonathan Marsh singled in Will Flynn with one out in the bottom of the seven inning as the Brewers rallied from a two-run deficit to top the Marlins, 10-9, Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Trailing 9-7, Duane Johnson reached on an error to lead off the bottom of the seventh inning and Kevin Hernandez follow with a walk. Will Flynn tied the score with a two-run single and Jonathan Marsh followed with a game-ending, RBI single.

Mets top Brewers, 2-1, behind Henson's two-hitter

Heath Henson threw a two-hit, complete game, and Yoenny Hurtado scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the fifth inning as the Mets edged the Brewers, 2-1, Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: It was the definition of a pitching duel with the Mets' Henson completing seven innings, while giving up two hits and two walks. The Brewers's starter, Shane Hardison, gave up one unearned run on six hits and no walks, while striking out nine. But the Mets squeezed in a run in the bottom of the fifth inning when Yoenny Hurtado slid under the tag at home while scoring on a wild pitch.

Johnson, DElia lead Brewers past Rockies, 6-3

Duane Johnson hit a two-run home run and Andrew DElia threw three innings of no-hit ball to lead the Brewers to a 6-3 win over the Rockies Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: In a scoreless game in the top of the third inning, Jonathan Marsh doubled and Duane Johnson followed with a two-run homer.  The Brewers never relinquished the lead.

Rides Ordonez drove in one runs and scored two, and Alex Calabese struck out seven batters over five innings as the Mets opened the ECABL fall season with a 12-5 win over the Rockies Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Two batters hit by pitches, two walks and two singles led to five fourth inning runs to give the Mets a 10-5 lead. 

Winning pitcher: Alex Calabrese

Losing pitcher: Gabe Pierre

Game MVPs: Rides Ordonez went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and and RBI. Rene Reyes went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Alex Calabrese picked up the win, pitching five innings while giving up seven hits and five runs. He struck out seven and walked five. Malik Dixon tossed one shutout inning, striking out one.

Marlins start fall season with 8-5 win over Brewers

Hayden Winchell threw three shutout innings, and Stephen Sawyer hit a two-run homer as the Marlins topped the Brewers, 8-5, Sunday at Kafer Park.

HIGHLIGHTS

Key to the win: Hayden Winchell's RBI-single in the third inning put the Marlins up 4-0. Despite a four-run fifth inning by the Brewers, the Marlins weathered the comeback attempt for the win.

Losing pitcher: Andrew Johnson
