Alex Calabrese tossed six, no-hit innings, and Malik Dixon drove in two runs with a bases clearing double in the third inning as the Mets advanced to the ECABL championship game with a 5-0 win over the Rangers Sunday at West Craven Park.
HIGHLIGHTS
Key to the win: Alex Calabrese allowed only three base runners through the first six innings. After allowing the first two hitters in the seventh inning to reach via walk and hit by pitch, Walker Hill closed the game out with a ground ball double play and a strikeout.

Game MVPs: Malik Dixon went 1-for-1 with three walks, two RBIs and a run scored. Conor Kasten went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Patrick Ventry went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Alex Calabrese went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Alex Calabrese pitched six innings, giving up no hits and no runs. He struck out five and walked four.
Noble Effort: Dakotah Thomas pitched six innings, giving up four unearned runs. He struck out seven and walked three.
Miscellaneous Notes: The Mets advance to play the Rockies at 4 pm Sunday in the 18+ Division championship game.

Two wild pitches in the rain and an RBI-single by Gabriel Brown scored four runs in the fourth inning, leading to a 10-4 Rockies win over the Diamondbacks Sunday. With the win, the Rockies advance to the ECABL championship game on next Sunday.
HIGHLIGHTS
Key to the win: Alden Manning singled, Allen Barnett and Bill Little walked, and Gabriel Brown singled in the bottom of the fourth -- all four came around to score to give the Rockies a 4-3 lead after four innings.

Game MVPs: Gabriel Brown went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Allen Barnett went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. Gabe Pierre went 1-for-2 with a run scored. He struck out one and walked two.
Noble Effort: Jimmie Lee went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Russell Boudreau, Kade Ciraulo, and Matt Curtis each went 1-for-3.

Jimmie Lee doubled with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning and scored on Kade Ciraulo's double, giving the Diamondbacks a come-from-behind, 4-3 win over the Brewers to advance to the second round of the championship tournament.
HIGHLIGHTS
Key to the win: Jimmie Lee's two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning tied the score and forced extra innings.

Noble Effort: Will Flynn went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Flynn also pitched 9 1/3 innings, giving up 10 hits and four runs. He struck out nine and walked three.
Miscellaneous Notes: The Diamondbacks now play the Rockies in the second round of the championship tournament. The defending champion Brewers struggled to get any offense going during the game.

Calabrese drives in five to lead 14-hit attack
Alex Calabrese went 3-for-4 and drove in five runs, and he gave up two runs over five innings to lead the Mets to a 17-2 crushing of the Pirates and a spot in the second round of the championship tournament.
HIGHLIGHTS
Key to the win: The Mets pounded out 14 hits in five innings, scoring four runs in the first innings and adding to the lead in every inning but the third.

Noble Effort: Travis Morton went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Coleman Barnacas. Addison Moore went 1-for-2 with a run scored.
Miscellaneous Notes:: Two of the four Red Sox batters who were hit by pitches ended up scoring. The Red Sox advance to the second round of the tournament and will play the Rockies at 1 p.m. Sunday.
