Week 3: Red Sox 15, Orioles 6
Byrnes two homers lead Red Sox over Orioles
Don Byrnes went 2-for-3 with two homers and 7 RBI to lead the Red Sox to a 15-6 win over the Orioles Sunday at Kafer Park.
Gabriel Brown went 3-for-3 with a homer, two RBI, four runs scored and pitched three shutout innings.
The Red Sox scored three in the first, one in the second, one in the third, three in the fifth and seven in the sixth.
The Orioles were held scoreless until the fourth inning when they scored three runs. JP Whitford lead off the inning with a walk, followed by a single by Johnnie Turner. Andrew Messer walked, Jessie White singled and Tyler Townsend reached on an error by the second baseman.
White went 2-for-3 with a home run, a single, three RBI and two runs scored. Whitford went 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Turner went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
The Red Sox improve to 2-1 in the fall season. They visit the Yankees at 1 p.m. Sunday at Kafer Park.
The Orioles fall to 1-2 and host the Braves on Sunday at 4 p.m.
