Amerson leads Braves over Red Sox

Doug Amerson pitched four strong innings and had two hits to lead the Braves to a 12-9 win over the Red Sox Sunday at Kafer Park.

The Braves held a 6-2 lead after four innings but the Red Sox came back to tie the score before the Braves surged past with four runs in the final inning for the win.

Amerson went 2-for-3. John Peterson had two hits, a walk and a suicide squeeze. Dylan Whitford had a pair of hits.

The Braves, 1-1, host the Yankees at 4 p.m. Sunday at Kafer Park. The Red Sox, 1-1, visit the Orioles at 1 p.m. Sunday.
